MIT, though if Stanford and Ivies are a no that’s probably a no as well… Northwestern, UChicago, Berkeley (though maybe not, if they keep having all of this chaotic financial stuff going on), UC San Francisco, UW Madison (although that’s in cold cold Wisconsin), UMichigan - not really in a “big city” but has a true college-town atmosphere. That’s about as many as I can think of

U Mich? Not really a city city, but it’s good!

Cooper Union? Granted, it’s harder to get into than most Ivies…

okay, NYU-Poly? If you want to do research, you’d have to go it alone though, because it’s more big on developing than research…for the most part. I’m in EE there though. All the other upperclassmen I know around NYU-Poly love the courses they’re taking. There’s a lot of job potential…but it’s not really research-oriented! You’re moreso being conditioned to be the perfect employee at Con Edison or PSEG or some other power business.

Oh f’ that. It’s actually small-ish. Maybe you could try Physics @ NYU?

UoC is a reach, but I am applying anyways.
I like UCal, but as you said it is looking impossible because I doubt OOS is looking good when they have no money.

No Michigan or Wisconsin though.
I’ve looked into RPI, but Rochester is a small city…
A good male/female mix doesn’t hurt.
