I have already taken three SAT IIs (WH, Physics, USH) and got 800s on all of them. Unfortunately, my father, in a typically Indian-American fashion, insists that those subject areas are not "rigorous" enough (whatever that means...) and wants me to take the Math II exam.

Even if I were to study hard for Math II (Which I don't want to do, as I would rather improve my SAT I score or do well on APs.), is there any benefit in taking a fourth SAT II? Can I even report one? Finally, are there any schools that require specific subject tests? I know that some require math II/physics or chem for engineering/science majors, but I am not interested in those fields anyway.

Schools look a lot at the “balance” of your Subject Tests rather than just the number you took. I would recommend taking Math II since it would show that you’re more balanced than you currently are (2 History tests, and 1 Science).

I think that would raise all kinds of questions with an admit office:

Why did you retake a test with a perfect score instead of taking another test
Are you trying to “rub it in” or is it an ego thing.

It might raise a needless flag to an admittance office. I see NO BENEFIT.

I’d like to know the same. There are many subjects in which I believe I could do well, but I’ve heard that schools technically only look at the top two or three scores. Do more 800s make a better impression? Or are they not even considered?

Some colleges, such as MIT, claim to not consider anything more than the required two. Other schools, such as Harvard, say that sending more tests may give them a better picture.
