Is there any way I can change my Short Answer EC after submission?

I had my original short answer essay for the common application, but recently I just wrote out a new one that is significantly much better. Unfortunately, I already submitted the application for one of my schools. Is there any way I can change my short answer essay for that school, and should I do it? Do you think one short answer will make that much of a difference?

It's not that my original short answer essay wasn't good, but that it was very average. My new one is about the same topic, but is significantly more well written. I'm thinking about emailing the adcoms about it, but do you think it is worth it?

By the way, this only applies for one of my schools, and it is also my first choice.

You can make an alternative version of the common app. They give you a link and directions on the app.

Yeah, I know that. I have already done that for the rest of my schools, thankfully. But I have one school where I submitted my original version instead of my new version.
