Is there any way I could report current senior grades?

Hello guys. I am applying to UIUC (regular decision) and completely bombed junior year. I made mostly B’s in my classes, and made a C in Honors Pre-Calculus. This trend was due to a number of factors, but none of which would count as “extraneous”. Senior year has been much better, however. I currently have all A’s (except for 1 B) with an A in AP Calculus AB.

According to the myIllinois application, senior courses are supposed to be marked as “In progress”, and current grades are not to be reported. Is there any way around this? Also, does UIUC have a wait-listing period where 1st semester grades are considered? I suppose I’m screwed, but I’d appreciate any advice you guys might have. Thanks for reading

UIUC does not use first semester (or quarter) senior year grades to determine admission. That includes even if you provide them (if you do send them, the persons who make admission decisions will never see them). Even those wait-listed in Feb will not have senior year grades considered to determine whether they will be admitted off of wait list.

Maybe you could include reasoning for the low grades junior year in your essay.

@drusba Alright. Thanks for the info.
