Is there any way this is possible?

Hello all,

I am a senior in a small private Texas high-school. Upon learning my UW GPA, I assumed I had no chance at any top schools, but I'm afraid that I will regret not giving some top-schools a shot when I'm older. What do you guys think my chances are for UPenn CAS ED?

Class Rank: 10/91
UW GPA: 3.62
----I had a huge upward trend in GPA. Prior to Junior year it was a 3.48, now it's a 3.62. I went from rank 19/91 to 10/91 in 1 year. Will this help?

bump

It’s possible, but a reach. The upward trend is encouraging, nevertheless.

I suppose it depends a great deal on what you mean by “any top schools.” Your numbers do not take you out of the running for Penn, if that’s all you’re asking.

@FCCDAD - You don’t think my 3.62 UW GPA or being just outside of top 10 puts me out of the running?

I don’t think they take you out. They do accept some students with lower scores and rankings. But I don’t make those decisions, either.
