<p>I submitted the optional "special circumstance" essay on the Common App, but as Georgetown's not on the Common App, is there any way the admissions office would even consider it if I did send it in? I applied EA, but was deferred, so I'm being pressured to send it in because my mom hopes it'll increase my chance of being accepted.</p>
<p>You could always just mail it in via snail mail–I called/emailed the admissions office before the EA app was due and they told me that I could always send in additional materials/special circumstances to the admissions office address. It seemed to do the trick since I was admitted EA.</p>
