Is there any way we can get the $100 SIR deposit waived?

My parents make less than $70,000 so I don't have to pay any system wide fees. So if I pay the $100, where exactly does it get "deposited" to?

if you qualified for a fee waiver for the application you qualify for a fee waiver for the SIR.
i recall they have an option you can click on to find out if you are eligible…but my memory is not that good.

^ yeah, there’s a thing to let them know u need eop? Or something and its not waived, you just don’t have to pay until registrating for classes which then will be taken out of all the grants they give you  so its basically LIKE waived but deducted from your grants

ahhh I didn’t apply for the waiver, but our household efc is way way below 70k, and I have maybe $10 in my bank account and am carrying a balance on my credit cards. hard to find pt work for a college guy :/

Like others have said, it’s automatically waived for you, just like it is when you put it in your income on the UC application.

yeah…wasn’t waived. guess i have to find a way to scratch up $100 asap…
