Is there anybody out there...

to reply to my request?

first, thank you for any and all responses.
so i am finishing all my applications for school and i'm applying to these schools (the are listed in order from where i want to go to safety)

George Washington
Penn
Cornell
Washington and Lee
William and Mary
Boston
Sewanee
American
Fordham
Furman

My GPA is a 3.8 unweighted however if I only include my high school years it is 4.4 with my GPA in my senior year at a 4.58. my school is a magnet and ranked nationally. I recieved a 2050 on my SAT's with a 700v and 680m, but i am taking it again in nov. i am taking the SAT 2s in US History and both Math 1 and 2. I will have 6 APs and plenty of recommendations. My weak area is ec's as I only have being the president of the young republicans, student gov't rep, and work. however since my sophmore year i have worked 40+ hrs/wk and am the second in command at where i work. i am planning on dual majoring in econ and political policy or business. i have also completed a senior thesis to develop an increase of profit by 10% for restaurant business.

You have done great. I think you'll get in or be waitlisted to at least half the schools you have listed. You can probably figure out which ones.

Since you used a Pink Floyd reference (my favorite older band), I have to "chance" you.

You are good for admittance at all of those except Penn, Cornell, and possibly William and Mary. At Penn, you'll need about a 2130 on the SATs, at Cornell, about a 2080, and at William and Mary, maybe a 2050--or at least great SAT II scores.

Other than that, it will come down to your ECs and how much you can convince them of your leadership potential and interest in attending the school.

Best of luck.

thank you for the responses. yeah penn and cornell were definetly my reaches and places i have slowly turned away from since i have changed my career interests

bump up
