I meant to mainly direct this thread to hospitals, but any insights are welcomed as long as it's related to the medical field.

Anyway, I'm about to start my first volunteering job at a Rehab center. I actually went there to visit today, and I'm afraid I might get sick or something. I don't have a good insurance, so most of my medicines have to be payed out of my parents' expense. You might be saying... 'if you're scared, then don't do it!' However, that is not the point. I want to be a doctor one day, so I might as well get all the experiences I need before I transfer. I have to endure treacherous seas full of demons and sea creatures just like Beowulf! (Random analogy)

Is it easy to get sick working in a hospital? Did you guys feel like me when you first started? So yea, if you want to leave me a story, then go ahead. I'm excited to work here, and also am very excited to hear your responses as well. thanks!
