I'm in California and I have not received anything from NYU yet. I didn't get any emails, and nothing has come in the mail. Is this pretty much a sign that I'm rejected? I know that people have been saying that it's not and that NYU sends things out in random bunches, but I'm finding that harder and harder to believe.

My friend who lives in the same area has already received emails and her acceptance packet from CAS. I applied to Gallatin, so I don't know if that makes a difference. But is there anyone out there who is in the same position as me? I am going absolutely crazy!!

But yeah, I’m starting to feel like it’s bad news too. Although I did read on some other posts that someone got in without getting an email, so that gives me a little hope! And I read somewhere else that someone last year didn’t get anything until April 5th, and she got in! Hopefully that’s the case this year because I REALLY want to get into NYU. It’s my dream school. Is there anyone else who’s gotten in without getting any emails?

I agree kiwilemon. This late decision is really pressing on my RSVP deadlines to go to admitted student days from other schools. I am trying to not RSVP yet because I don’t want any conflicts to come up if NYU accepts me.

I’m near the LA area in Riverside, only four people applied in my school. Three of them have heard back and all of them got rejected and it has been my number one school since I was very small, I don’t know why but I started breaking down in tears last night because I really want to go there. I called NYU on Friday and they said that if we don’t hear back by April 9th, we should call them and they will tell us. I hope we all get accepted thanks, I’ve been praying sooooooo much.

I’m in NorCal and i got wailisted yesterday. I think they are finalizing the desicions at this point, so don’t worry everyone, it does not mean that you are automatically rejected =)

Los Angeles, still waiting for the mail. Have not received any emails either. NYU is one of my dream schools and I thought I had a solid chance. Will still remain hopeful :/
