No I think it is more extenuating circumstances or something unique the Adcoms really need to know.

I think that an applicant should use every available space on the application to make their case. For my kids, I made sure that somewhere in their application, they made it clear that UF was their first choice and if accepted, they would be on campus in the Fall.

I had the same question. They allow 250 words. Is it not permissible to use it as a “why UF?” question?
