lately, there have been threads about applying EA and “would i be accepted if i apply EA?” this makes me wonder why they just won’t apply EA even if they don’t get accepted, they’d probably just get deferred to the regular decision pool. so, that being said, what’s wrong with applying EA even if you probably won’t get in? would it decrease your chances in the regular decision if you get deferred from EA? I have about a 94 avg, about 7 EC’s, a few leadership positions, and 200+ volunteering hrs. Most of the kids who got into BC from my school had around 94-96+ avgs. should i apply EA?

At most colleges, getting deferred from EA to regular decision means that you go the bottom of the stack. They admit everyone from regular decision then go back and see if they have room for any of the deferred kids. I don't know if that's how it is at BC, that's just how it is most places.
