Unfortunately WL acceptees are generally notified by the 15th and most earlier. I have herad of a few waitlists at NW who were given an extended offer of admission a while ago so NW is probably filled but you never know if a person at NW gets in by WL at antoher school and decides to go there, thus opening up a slot.

10 characters

have you called to see what they are doing waitlist wise to see if there is even any movement? and to reaffirm you are still interested?

some colleges do pull in people right up to a week before school, but just make the phone call and ask

as a matter of fact, i called them twice to reaffirm my interest and to ask about the waitlist situation

and just recently, a kid who goes to school in my district but to another high school, who was placed on the waitlist at northwestern was pulled off last thursday/friday

as soon as your grades are in, send them if they are strong

hopeful calling them will probably do nothing. THe people picking up the phones are not admissions officers but employees and I doubt they took a note of that call on your application. Your best bet is to send letters of interest (mentioning how its ur top choice, how you would go 100%, how you would find off campus housing if necessary) and sending in something creative to show the extent of your interest.

In your call did you ask if all the slots for the WL have been filled up? At this juncture remain optimstic and if NW says yes send in letters/extra volunteer things/grades/something creative (i sent in letters/sent in something creative myself). But also have other plans in place and dont get your hopes up way too high at the same time.
