...And not worry about being towed? :/
My boyfriend goes to UF and it's hard enough being poor students making weekend trips back and forth from Orlando to Gainesville, but five dollars a day for guest parking just can't happen.
Anybody know somewhere that's within reasonable walking distance to UCF where he could park without needing to worry that his car will get towed?

It'd be for the weekend; Friday night, Saturday and leaving Sunday evening-ish :)
thanks guys!

UCF was the ONLY college I did a formal tour at when I was looking at schools a few years ago that charged visitors money to park…$5.00. Every other college gave us a free parking pass as a visiting guest touring the college. My family figured if the school would gouge you for the $5.00 at the formal tour when they should have been making a good impression, surely you could expect to really get clubbed for fees if you were a student there.

eh, fees are only really crazy for parking. I think they charge so badly because they’re trying to expand; I think there’s only like ~15,000 parking spots and ~30,000 kids on the main campus. Maybe once they finally build enough spots it’ll loosen up. :/

There’s a plaza on University Blvd. where you can park your car. They have what seems to be an abandoned bookstore there. It’s right next to McDonalds. If you ever find yourself late to class after 40 minutes of looking for a parking space, just park in the plaza. I’ve done it. The walk isn’t that long either.

Oh, and some advice: Parking garages F and G are RESERVED PARKING, not normal parking. I had to learn that the hard way. :D
