<p>An hour and 12 minutes later: 258 views!!!!!</p>

<p>No. They aren’t tracked in real time. Or … I don’t know about tracking, but they are not displayed in real time. Therefore, whenever the server refreshes the page count for a thread to be displayed, it does so at specific intervals.</p>

<p>Because people are creepy and they like to lurk on CC and never actually create an account and read all of specific people’s posts and create a file for them at their house and use their username and info provided on CC to find where they live and create a plan to find them and stalk them and lure them into a secluded alley and drug them and tie them in their basement and use them as homework help (which is totes why this only happens to the super smart ones) and keep them until they graduate and when they don’t need them anymore they get bored and then they kill them.</p>
