Is there enough time left

to study for the Oct 6 Sat? Or should I just not take it then and take it Nov 3?? (next day is my birthday.) I only got a 1380( very low compared to everyone on this board) and I'd like to get a high 1400's. Is it pretty much impossible

It all depends on how hard you study.

I don't think it's really that hard to get from a 1380 to high 1400's. But that's just me. It differs from person to person.

Is there a reason why you don't want to take it November 3?

yeah you have ample time and you can do it!!!!!!!!!!

besides as they always say, its easier to improve when there is more room for improvement than when there is less.

I'm almost in the same boat as you. I got a 1550 on my first SAT, and I'm aiming for a score of 2300+ the second time I take it around. I was going to take it on October 6, and prep during the summer, but I pretty much slacked off in July and studied "on and off" in August. So I moved my test date to November. I can't back out of studying now, because this is my last chance to improve my SAT score. :/ I was going to take three SAT IIs in November, but now I have to smush them into December. Now I only have two months to prepare, and if I don't do well, it's going to look REALLY bad on my application.

So I say: yes, change the date, if you feel you need more preperation time. The more time the merrier as I always say. Check with application deadlines for the colleges you're applying to just in case though - for me, it was possible to move it to November, because the colleges that I'm applying to have deadlines that come after that date.

I don't know what's wrong. When I prepped before, I was all into it, but now..I feel like I can't take it anymore. >_<

Opps I meant to say 1380 on just Reading & Math I think I got like a 2030 total.
Well I don't want to take it in november because.. well it might sound silly. I kind of want to apply to some ivy leagues even though I will never in a million years get in, so then I'd have to prepare for 3 SAT Subject tests and yeah... If not, I am stuck at at UF.

I also have stuff going on at school. Like Oct 1-12 is 2 hour practices everyday, got homecoming dance sept 29, in addition to my ap classes, clubs..

don't stay u'll be stuck at UF, bc that means u dislike the college. why don't u search up some info and visit other schools? 2000 is a very good score
