Is there even any point?

Is there any point for me to retake the SAT?

I have a 36 ACT.

First time I took the SAT I got 690 CR, 800 M, 720 English. 2210 overall.

I'm looking to apply to some nice schools, but no HYPS. More like:

Johns Hopkins
Cornell
Brown
Duke
Case
etc.

Should I retake the SAT?

IMO, nope!

Colleges won't even see your SAT score if you just submit your ACT score. Don't bother retaking.

Hecks no. I sure wouldn't.

i don't think there is a point. a 2210 is a good score. just keep in mind that if/when you send SAT IIs to colleges, they will get this score too. but, it's a great score, so don't waste the time and money retaking it.

Maybe I'll retake it if I have time =P

with a 36 ACT, don't even bother sending in your SATs

Don't retake it runforfun. There's nothing more an adcom would derive from your 2nd score than your 36 ACT. The 36 says you're very accomplished academically and will satisfy this portion of your application. Take the time you'd otherwise use in preparing for the SAT and shore up other areas of your app package -- or just have fun as a HS senior.

Don't do it just for ego -- your money is better spent elsewhere. Good luck to you.

Don't retake, its wasteful in every definition of the word. Money, time, thought.
