<p>Some schools will help pay for the visit if you are a distance away. Two of S’s schools did. These are schools that are eager to get a wider geographical distribution of students. Call and ask if any such thing is available. Otherwise, look for cheapie flights, trains, buses or car pooling with other students from your area also looking to visit. Find out if they can host the student in a dorm with current students. Nearly every college will give meal vouchers at the cafeterias for visitors. You can bring that cost down low. Housing deposits are a whole other story. You have to come up with the $$$s for those yourself.</p>
