Is there hope for the really average student??

<p>Hello I hope I can get some good advice on wheter or not I should even try to apply to soem colleges that i would like to. I am medicore at best as far as my trnascrpit goes.
here are the colleges i am applying to </p>

hampshire</p>

<p>anyone else know of any schools that accept someone with my crediantals and has a strong science background?btw I am applying as a transfer.</p>

<p>high school..er dont ask did lots of working and internships and my gpa was around an all time high of 2.8ish.</p>

<p>current college 3.2</p>

<p>My essay will be steller and I will include some of my research papers on science.
I speak italian almost fluent and I can speak japanese at an novice level.
I play the violin, I have danced ballroom for two years.
I have worked at least two jobs ever since I was 16 totaling at least 50 hours a week.</p>

<p>The only thing I am worried about is that most of my grades are low because I havent studied like I should. Since this semester started though i have been studying digilanty and I am expecting all A's. I am hopeing to apply to these colleges this fall and enter into the spring semester. I hope at least if I get accpeted. please help any ideas with a good college that accepts students like me??</p>

<p>there is certainly hope for the "really average student". there are well over 2000 colleges in the US, yet all of you focus on 100 or so. if you didn't focus on the top 100 in selecitivty (and those three are in that list), you could get into somewhere easily.</p>

<p>its not what school you go to, its how hard you work in school that will determine where you will be 4 years from now</p>

<p>seriously, try temple, where you get a better education than most big state schools</p>

<p>If you use the word "steller" in your essay, make sure you spell it "stellar"</p>
