in the teacher evaluation for commonapp, is there much difference between "outstanding top 5%"' and "one of top few encountered in my career?

like, exactly how much weight would college put on it if i had "outstanding top 5%" isntead of "top few"???

if they see too many "top fews", they begin to question the school/teacher. It's good to have a couple of top fews, but not across the board.

Basically, outstanding top 5% is like a B, and top few is like an A.

So I guess you got a B.

^ what? Lol.

I don't understand that scale.

If you are applying to CHYMPS, you should have top 5% in most of your classes and maybe top few in one or two. It's unrealistic to be top few in every subject, i think....

How much attention do schools really pay to this? It seems pretty useless to me.

^ I agree. I bet most of the recommendations give students at least excellents.
