Is there really a thing called love at first sight?

^ You've got a point.

I mean, in 10 years, I guess I'll know whether what happened was a crush, hormones, lust, fate...I dunno. lol. But it's definitely not something I'll forget as just a "minor crush".

Again, head over heart. Heart over head. This is confusing stuff :P lol.

i think it's more of a "whoa she's really hot" at first sight

for guys anyway

he looked a lot like my 3rd grade crush

Thats probably why you were attracted to him...nostalgia. I personally think you're infatuated.

i don't think it's sight, i think it's body chemistry. for example, a girl friended me on facebook and i thought she was fairly good looking, but didn't think much of it. then I danced with her at a party and there was this instant attraction, as in I wanted to "do it" more than I had ever wanted to before. couldn't explain it.

but that's more like "attraction" at first site. love, as in "deeply caring about a person" would need to be developed over time. there's no way to care that much about someone you just saw.

I find that highly unlikely. It's not like I HAVEN'T liked guys since that one 3rd grade guy. It would make sense if he was the last guy I liked or went out with or something. Otherwise, my argument here was that there were lots of physical and realistic coincidences that weren't made up by my otherwise "infatuated" mind so you say.

btw html coding doesn't work on here Polihist :P

maybe he was just really really good-looking...
like a certain someone i know

Lol well if you don't think its because of infatuation then I think my other point still stands. Nostalgia. And add to that, that he showed interests back. I don't believe in love at first sight, I just think you'll made a good connection in your first encounter and you're misinterpreting it as "love". Thats just what I think though lol.

haha tell me that after the fact :p

This is rough, Crystal. Best thing I can say to do is to keep in touch, and if it was meant to be, then no need to worry. And if it wasn't, well, no need to worry then either. Take care :)

Oh and love at first sight? Yeah. For sure. What they ^ all said. (Most of them anyways)

Maybe lust at first sight.
I don't know, I've been with my boyfriend for 3 and a half years and I'm only 17.

^ Someone above explained the lust thing.

"**And speaking of fate-anyone seen the movie Serendipity with Kate Beckinsale and John Cusak? Great movie!!!"

OMG! It's fate! Serendipity is on tv (Bravo Channel) right now!
