Is there really no bias against the act?

It seems to me that most people have a higher act score than sat score. Does Dartmouth treat the equivalent scores with equal weight?

I had to register as soon as I read this post. All I know is that I didn't submit any SAT scores (i did of course submit sat ii's). I got in using the ACT early. I had a 34 composite. (35-reading, 35-science, 31-math, 35-english, 32-english/writing, 9 on the essay). They tell you that they accept the ACT equally. I flat out asked an admissions person there "DO you weight both equally?" She answered directly "yes". I trust them. I submitted the ACT and got in.
Hope that helps.

I also remember reading a quote from an adcom at Dartmouth in a book that said they simply convert ACT scores to their SAT equivalence.

but what if you submitted SAT and ACT scores, and they were drastically different ( ACT awesome, SAT, not so much).....i apped RD btw, just to explain the name...im sure you can guess my ed
