I would like some advice on my list of schools/ to ask a few questions to someone who has already been through the application process. I didnt want to post one of those annoying chance threads, so i was wondering if i could message someone to see if i am on the right track and have a good plan
Just post – you will benefit from the varied experience of the regular posters.
i was just scared of the people that get annoyed at those types of posts but ok
Ppl just get annoyed with chances threads, so there is a separate section for those, since they are useless guessing and then the kids can chat among themselves. If there are more serious questions about strategy or college lists then yes you probably are better off with more perspectives.
The only time CC’ers get annoyed is when they state certain schools are a reach or out of reach and the original posters argues that they are a match. Those original posters are not looking to be chanced, they are looking for validation of their inflated and unrealistic expectations.
Keep chance questions in the right forums, and it is okay. Although if people give you suggestions on how to Google or research something yourself, try to do that. Asking others to research SAT ranges at given colleges, for example, isn’t cool when you could do it yourself.
