is there still a chance if you get rejected?

I know of a kid who got flat out rejected to a school. He emailed or contacted them somehow, and they then called him over the phone to discuss why he felt he was qualified, his interests, etc. and they accepted him for the Spring semester. Do you think this is a realistic situation? In my case, I'm a senior taking the SAT again in March. If I get rejected, do well on the SAT, make some sort of dispute or email a college, would they re-consider me for the spring or something? I know it sounds like a childish thing to do, but just wondering considering I've heard it happen at least once. It's definitely not the ideal plan, ha.

TY!

your friend got lucky. that rarely ever happens.

Honestly, they'd probably find that more annoying than anything else. TheBlackLantern is right, he got seriously lucky. If you're rejected and still want to attend, your best bet is to apply as a transfer. Unless you think they were flawed through the process in which they looked at your app, it's usually best to not appeal a decision.

They gave your friend an interview, so be warned that it was probably an awesomely rocking interview that immediately made the college like him and want to accept him.
