I applied to USC marshall and made it very clear in my supplement that I love USC and said it was my first choice.

I’m a USC freshman but my views do not represent the school or the school’s admission committee.

Congrats on those acceptances so far! Michigan is close to USC in the rankings and the fact they took you is a plus. As for the stats, the GPA certainly looks good and your SAT score is above the average for enrolled students in the class of 2016. My SAT score was a little higher (2190) but my unweighted GPA was lower (and my school didn’t weight GPAs.)

A big reason I think I got in though was that I have good ECs and from what I’ve noticed with my friends and other people around campus, a ton of people here have really good ECs so I think USC definitely values those ECs. If yours are good, especially if they are business related because you are applying to Marshall, then you have a great chance to get in.

Overall, I would say that it’s a close call for USC but you have a more likely than not chance of getting accepted. You may get in as a spring admit (I was a spring admit,) and if you do, feel free to send me a message about how to meet other spring admits, pick the right housing and plans for the fall semester. Good luck!

Hello,
I applied to USC from a very small highschool. It only offers 4 AP classes total and I took 3 of the 4, AP Bio didn’t interests me. My SAT superscore was 1880, and my ACT score was a 28. I have a Weighted GPA of a 3.83 and I am ranked 3 out 61 students. I was apart of Science Olmypiad for 6 years and Co-Captain for 3 of them. I was also a member of the NASA INSPIRE Project for 4 years, and was a member of the Student Advisory council there for 3 years. Finally I ran Varsity track for four years, and ran the new light board in my school’s auditorium. Do I even have a chance at admission?? Thanks!

Sorry for the rambling post, I never was sold on these chance threads, but this is my last school and I’m getting nervous.

I think you have a good shot! :)

LOL i got rejected by mich LSA (yes i know how shameful they are ■■■■■■■■ this year) and got into USC Marshall. But once again my friend from Michigan tried transferring to USC last yr and got rejected. so i would say a good chance!
