Is there still time to improve my GPA enough?

So... right now, my unweighted GPA is around 3.5 (weighted is around 3.8 since I take lots of honors and AP classes). I go to a very competitive school in New Jersey (it's a top 10 public school in NJ), and I'm hoping to get into NYU Stern one day. The thing is, I totally slacked off freshman year and sophomore year. I'm in my junior year right now, and my grades are getting better because I've finally found an incentive to work hard. Is Stern out of reach, or do I still have time to increase my GPA enough to give me a chance?

Some other info

Race/gender: Asian/male
Class rank: My school doesn't keep track of rankings
SAT I: Didn't get it yet, but I'm expecting at least a 2300+. If not, I will retake in June and aim for 2300+
SAT II: Math IIC - 800 Chemistry - 790
AP classes I've already taken: AP Chem - 5, AP Music Theory - 4
AP classes I'm taking this year: AP English, AP Bio, AP Calc AB
ECs:
-Piano for 8 years. I teach piano in my area and I participate in competitions
-Violin for 6 years. This is my 2nd year in the school orchestra (couldn't do it freshman year because I had to take a different mandatory course)
-120+ volunteer hours
-I do environmental work (collect samples from nearby streams and identify them)
-Founder and president of the dance team in school

Thanks in advance.

From what I’ve been told on here, you can calculate your gpa by adding your current gpa (3.5) to your junior year average, and then divide by 2. So lets say that at the end of junior year your average is a 4.0. You would do 3.5 + 4.0/2. This would come out to be a 3.75. So the highest you can increase your gpa is 3.75. I hope this helps!

Get 4.0 the rest of the way and take the hardest classes your school offers. Get more EC’s as well. You still have a chance.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. As of now, I don’t think I can get a 4.0 unweighted for junior year because all of my AP classes are insanely hard. However, I guess I can get at least a 92+ average rest of junior year. Just wondering: What is the average GPA/SAT I score of people who get accepted to Stern? Do they have good ECs (equal or better than mine)?
