I go to a very decent and highly competitive school in Fort Bend ISD. I am not sure my grades for my freshman year are the best. What are your opinions on them, how would I be able to improve, and will this ruin my chances for a decent university (UT, UCSD,NYU,etc.). How will my class rank and GPA be? Any succes stories?

Thanks to everyone who answers!!

If colleges even see the semester breakdown, they will only look at the final grade. So Bio and Geography are fine. Geometry doesn’t do you any favors, but if you keep an upward trend, you should be OK.

Pre AP is an honors class. Adds extra credits and increases GPA for class rank.

Don’t bump after like 0 seconds. It’s absolutely unnecessary.

You guys have Honors Geometry?

Our AlgIITrig class doesn’t even get the Honors label, and Precalc is the first class that does.
Anyway, that Geo’s going to hurt.

The only thing that’s kind of bad is geometry. It doesn’t average out too well but otherwise I feel like you’ll be fine.

My GPA is averaged out by the two semesters. Final grades are not taken into consideration.

I’m still wrankled by the fact that you get honors geometry.
