Is this a bad idea?

So I was writing a college essay, but it turned into a critique of political correctness. I don't think I'll be using it now, but I just wanted to hear your opinions. Critiquing political correctness = bad, right?

Oh and btw I was careful not to condone racism, but showed how political correctness leads to misunderstandings, etc.

I'm not sure it has to be bad, it could probably be good if done in the right way, but it's a bit risky for a college essay.

(btw, I agree with the way you described the topic.)

A political essay is generally inappropriate imo in college applications because the "personal essay" is supposed to be personal, about you, not about your views on abortion, affirmative action, Iraq, political correctness, etc.

I agree with ADad.

Keep the personal statement personal.

Why take the chance that you'll rub the ad-comm the wrong way?
