I’m probably just being dramatic, because it does not seem like it would be fair in the slightest but I am on the quarter system (currently in winter quarter) with spring quarter to look forward to from April to end of June. In my PL classes for spring quarter I listed 4 classes that I plan to take then. HOWEVER, having talked to my teachers, 2 out of the 4 classes might not even be offered I don’t know yet. I am still going to keep them on my Transfer Academic Update/Map@Berkeley because it is not clear to me yet if they will be. Is that the right thing to do? And also, once I transition into spring quarter and know for sure, what actions do I take in the case that they really are not offered? (Also btw, I should mention for clarity that these classes are not pertinent to my IGETC or major requirements - have already fulfilled those.)
In my opinion, I can’t imagine this even being a problem. You said you were /planning/ on taking them, not already in them. If they are not pertinent to your major/IGETC, you should be fine. Will you still have enough credits to transfer if these classes are not offered? Will you take other classes instead?
What I would do, if you want to be extra safe, is make a note in that comment box on the TAU. Let them know which classes might not be offered. You’re still planning to take them, so you don’t need to remove them, but you could make a note letting them know that they might not actually happen.
My biggest concern here would be meeting your minimum credit requirements. If you will be short on credits because of these classes, I would find some other electives (because that’s what it sounds like these are for you) to fill the gaps.
