I can’t believe I did this! I accidentally left out a word in one of my essays for Exeter, and now the sentence sounds all wrong, is this as big a deal as I’m thinking?
I am willing to bet that my kid had at least one error within at least one essay/short answer for each application despite careful checking and rechecking. My guess is that this is not a deal-breaker.
I doubt that is a big deal. In fact it could be good, because they will know it’s not edited by adults.
No use in crying over spilt milk…
Respectfully disagree with @sunnyschool . A mistake will not make your essay seem original or benefit you in any outward way. Most people have other people review and suggest on their essays, and schools have an expectation that this is done with all essays.
But this is not gonna make or break your essay.
Main point: Nothing you can do now. It’s over. Now is the ridiculously long wait for M10…
Perhaps. But imo, a lot of the essays sound way too word-smithed to me, but that is my personal opinion, without knowing what AO’s are looking for.
