Yeah, I was wondering, if I have done research or a science fair project and won considerable awards, should I do a paragraph explaining each in the additional information section? Or would the Adcom just be tired of reading my shiit?

bumpty bump

Of course include that! I'm not sure if it belongs in the additional info section, though. Why not just attach a resume. Many people do that and it doesn't hurt your application. It actually helps to have a well-organized, COMPLETE application. Don't leave important things out because of lack of space. Just keep it reasonable--don't go over 2 or 3 extra pages!!!

im worried about the science fair project because it is impossible to explain without all the science jargon...would that just seem too pompous and excessive to the adcom? I mean science professors won't be readin my appication.

Try and put it as simply as possible; for a perhaps overly simplified example, "energy levels" instead of "mitochondria density". These might not be exactly the same, but they are close enough when simplifying for an admissions officer. You generally are encouraged to submit a research abstract, which I assume would get looked at by a more scientifically oriented person.

There are awards sections in the applications. Why not list your awards there? You can put down the name of your science project(s) there and how you did in each competition.

yeah, i did put it in the awards section..but I mean don't they wanna know what I did? I wanted to know if its ok to further explain the project in the add. info..or would that be excessive?

My D won some significant money/prizes in science fairs. She just listed the fair and place (i.e. First Place) and prize ($ amount, internship offered etc). Ad coms will get the idea that you did a great job and must have had a super project. I don't think they care about the details. She did have a recomendation from a science teacher though that devoted a paragraph to her research and science fair successes.
