Potentionally adding GW, maybe James Madison as a safety?
-I live in FL
-4.0 unweighted GPA, 5.8 weighted (that’s how my high school does it, it would definitely be different recalculated for college)
-33 act
-1 AP class sophomore year, 4 junior year, 4 senior year
-involved in theater program at my high school, member of international honor thespian society, competed in multiple theater competitions and won awards
-Vice President of an organization at my school called Why Define Us? - a group that mentors middle school girls on topics such as body image, self confidence, social media, and coming of age
-volunteer life guard for a summer at the Y
-volunteer at Give Kids the World- a place where make a wish kids stay with their families when their wish is to go to Disney
-regular babysitting
You have good stats etc. but yes you need at least 1 safety. Personally I would apply to at least 2 schools that are 65%+ in acceptance rate but maybe that’s just because I’m paranoid The schools you picked look good though!
@Futuremed17 I feel confident that FSU is a safety for me, but I feel like I should add one more
What do you plan to study? Along with finances that would be my other major factor in developing a list.
Can you afford the expensive schools if you get into them?
Your stats are great for the Florida schools!
@TooOld4School Psychology and or Business
@Trisherella it would definitely depend on financial aid!
Do you have all the costs for FSU and UF covered? If not, then you don’t have a safety.
Bright Futures only covers about $3k of tuition. How will the other costs (about $20k) get covered? How much will your parents pay?
Be sure to add a school where you will get tuition - and for you OOS tuition with your stats; a great choice would be Univ of AL where my DD goes. Check it out.
UAlabama Honors would be a great safety.
