Is This A Good Freshmen College Class Schedule???

So i just registered for my college classes for freshmen year and I am wondering if i made a mistake.
On MON/WED/FRI, I have: Math:10-1050, Art: 11-1150, History:12-1250, and English:1-215
So I only have 1 class (Math:10-1050) on Tuesday and NO CLASS on Thursday. Did I make a mistake by having Back to Back to Back to Back classes on Mon/Wed/Fri. I figure I will eat before 10 and then eat again at 230. So for those who have been to college, is this good or bad? I figure i will have all day to study on Tuesday and Thursday plus the weekend. Also, I will be attending California State University Fullerton. Thanks!

by the time you get to english you probably will be able to focus for about 4 minutes. I’ve had schedules like this before. it’s nice to have days off but i would strongly advise against it your first term.

It’s actually good to have back to back classes. Otherwise you have an awkward hour between classes that you can’t do anything other than eat during. Schedule a 1 hour break for lunch, sure. But if you have a class from 1-2 and then 3-4, you end up wasting that time between 2-3.

I always had my classes: M/W/F 1-2, 2-3; T/TH 12:30-2, 2-3:30. My schedule just always works out well that I can do that.

This semester I have a schedule much like yours:
M/W: 11-12:30, 12:30-2, 2-3:30
Th: 11-12:30
No Tues/Fri

The M/W are a bit painful, since that’s class from 11-3:30, but the 2-3:30 is really easy (Accounting 2/Managerial Accounting) and the 11-12:30 really interests me (Databases and MSSQL - I’m an Information Systems Business major)

I figure, do my Mon homework on Tues when I have no class, and do my Wed/Thurs homework on Thurs after class.

The only issue is eating on M/W. I figure a big breakfast at 10:15-10:45, and then a light meal/snack at 3:45 and then dinner with my friends at 6. It should work.

Back-to-back-to-back is very very good. Many freshman make the mistake of taking classes at random times (all else equal) because they don’t want it to be like high school where they’re going for big blocks of time to school.

But you don’t want a random hour in between classes–you’ll be stuck in a certain part of campus with way too much free time but not enough time to go back home and relax.

Good schedule choice. And it’s not even a difficult MWF for you because those classes are only 50, not 75, min each.

Just make sure your MWF classes are within close walking distance. You only have 10 min to get between classes, and you’ll want to be a couple minutes early. If not, change the schedule. There’s no point in taking classes where you’ll have to consistently be late.

I’ve had schedules like yours and one that was really spread out [during my first semester]. Absolutely hate having an hour between each class – it may be enough time to unwind, but I often lose my focus and don’t have time to actually get work done or get back to my dorm. Like Justtotalk said, make sure you have enough time to get to each class. It’s also nice if your classes are close enough that you can have a few minutes to actually unwind.

did you take in consideration where the classes are on campus?

It’s good to have back to back classes, but I wouldn’t recommend the schedule as you have it with all the classes on certain days.

I’d say even it out so that you have the same amount on each day.

I agree that it is good to have back to back classes. However four classes in a row is a lot and in this case it would take up a lot of your mon/wed/fri. I have found that when my schedule is similar to this i end up doing homework for most of my days off during the week. If you want to do well you will usually have to work, if you don’t mind having all your classes in a row then go for it.

I’m in class from 11 to 2, and then 4 to 9 on MWF.
And then I have 9-12 on Tuesday and 9 to 10 on Thursday.
Am I screwed?

I don’t have any writing classes; I’ve already taken English.
I’m taking: Graphic Design Lab, GD History, GD Intro
Principles of Programming with Java
Precalc (already taken, but I’m kinda awful at math)
Marching Band

Why do you have 28 hours of class every week?

That’s insane.

Was that to me? Haha. Well I just double checked it.
