Is this a good idea??

this fall i plan on applying to NU ed, uchicago ea, and northeastern ea. for some reason, my high school gets almost all applicants accepted to northeastern, even if their stats fall far below the average there. i feel like i would be accepted there if i apply ea, just because no one at my high school ever gets rejected unless theyre really bad. im not calling it a safety, but i do think i have a good chance there just because of my high schools relationship with the school. because of this, i do not plan on applying to any safeties until i find that i was rejected from all three of my early schools.

is this a safe plan?? i also have quite a few match schools to apply to rd, but none of them i can truly call safeties.

First, please correct spelling and capitalization. It’s atrocious.

Second, you cannot apply ED and EA to multiple schools. You can apply to one school ED and nowhere else until RD, or apply to multiple schools EA, other than SCEA/REA.

yes i can. i just have to withdraw the other apps if im accepted ed

@gray7time - I think that’s a perfectly fine plan. One easy way to do it is to pick some RD safeties that don’t have supplements, so producing an application in the window between ED/EA notification and RD submission deadline won’t be stressful.

@IrisShadow - that’s completely incorrect. Northwestern’s ED agreement doesn’t prohibit EA applications at all.
