<p>Pitt Honors or Shreyer can’t be safeties because they reject a LOT of applicants. Pitt Honors is more numbers-based so relatively safer, but Shreyer does not look at test scores at all, only strength of curriculum, grades achieved/uwGPA, and, most of all, essays, with 80 to 90% candidates turned down (or so - depending on when they apply, too, with the priority deadline to be taken very seriously) in the last cycle. Check their latest report. I agree you have a decent shot of course 
but it wouldn’t be a safety and there has to be a safety school for you between PSUnonHonors/PittnonHonors, and Boston.
Get an actual number from your parents. What they could pay and what they want to pay may be different, what you estimate they can pay and what they estimate they can pay may be different, not to mention they may be willing to pay X for a certain school but 2X for another one.</p>
