I recently took the SAT II Chemistry exam and I got a 680 on it. I want to major in chemistry, so is this a decent score?

According to Wikipedia, the average score for SAT chemistry is about 648 with SD 110, so it’s above average but not that noteworthy. For a chemistry major, you might wish to retake.

Okay, thanks. Anyone else want to give their input?

I’ve heard that 600+ is pretty good, 700+ is excellent, and 750+ is competitive for top schools.

So my score is good right? I don’t plan on applying for any Ivy Leagues.

It’s good - not great. Don’t expect it to get you any major “wows” with colleges though.
