These scores are really frustrating because if I had 20 more points in Critical Reading, I would have had 700 or more in all sections and I would have squeaked out a 2250. Very annoyed. Can anybody make any suggestions for me?

The January 2010 SAT was the first time I ever took the test. When should I take it next? What are some things I can improve on?

I know I'll never get as lucky as I did in the math section. Maybe I'll get luckier in writing. But that Critical Reading section is an anomaly.

If you think you can do better, then you should retake. A 680 in CR will hurt you somewhat if you’re applying to top-tier schools.

That being said, don’t fret too much over it. Remember that the SAT is only one part of the application. Getting a 680 doesn’t mean the death of your Ivy ambitions. A higher score would help, but don’t obsess over it.

What if I take it again, do better in CR, but do worse in Math? Will some schools deny me for focusing on one particular subject? Thanks for any advice.
