I am in 8th grade, and here are my SAT scores...

Math- 610
CR- 650
Writing- 750

Are these really good for my age, or do I need to improve? I mean am I totally headed for one of the Ivy Leagues? Preferably Harvard?

A 2010 is amazing for an 8th grader. Keep up the good work!

It’s really good! Make sure to prep for the PSAT so you can try for National Merit. Also, for the SAT in the future, you should really focus on your math so you can get a good foundation. Good work!

Yes! Congrats.Keep up the good work by the time you get to be a junior you will have a perfect score. If you are reading this site for three years you will be well educated :)

GREAT WORK!! EXCELLENT for an 8th grader!
I think you will definitely be able to pull off a 2400!
Reasons Why:

Writing: You already have a 750, just practice grammer rules every weekend or once every month and work on your essay, You’ll get an 800!

CR: You’re only 13 or 14, i presume? With maturity, you get better experienced and better able to understand texts. There is also a great vocab. increase

Math: Even if you’re in an honors class, you have not learned enough to successfully implement all of the formulas successfully. It’s a matter of experience.

How do I know this?
My 8th grade scores: CR 580 W 620 M 670
Total: 1870

My recent scores(9th): CR: 600 W 670 M 800
Total: 2070

Note: the 9th grade one was a collegeboard previously administered test that i took under similar testing conditions as the real SAT

I’m hoping for a 2250-2300+ by the time i take it junior year

But most important of all, just remember to have fun in life and don’t go crazy over SATs!

Isn’t it a little bit early for sat’s? I just mean that there are so many things to do between now and then! But they sound like good scores compared to my 8th grade friend who took it.

Good scores, but make sure you actually research the schools you want to go to. Harvard may be “the best” by reputation, but may not necessarily be the best school for you.

Just don’t stop, because you’re doing good right now.
Keep studying, though it may not be every night.

I stopped, after 8th grade when I was happy with my scores, and my PSAT scores this year as a sophomore were lower than 8th grade…

You would take the SAT in 8th grade for talent searches like CTY, TIP, CTD, THINK, etc. I would highly recommend the CTY program if you can afford it.
