Is this a good schedule for Spring 2012?

I am a direct admit freshman and my schedule for next semester is:
MATH-M118: Should I enroll in William Orrick's class or Greggory Kattner? I have Orrick right now for M119 and I have an A- right now. Which teacher is easier? How do they differ?
BUS-K201
BUS-A100
BUS-X220
FOLK-F220
GER-G150

This equals 16 credits and would like to know how hard this schedule is?

BobSponge,

Use grade distribution (following link) and /or ratemyprofessor.com to check.

[Grade Distribution Database: Office of the Registrar: Indiana University Bloomington](http://gradedistribution.registrar.indiana.edu/)

A100 and X220 are for 8 weeks only. So, you have 5 courses during one time. I would guess that taking M118, K201, and A100 at the same time requires some effort on your part. Make sure that the other two are not too bad.

What is Folk-F 220? I don’t see it listed.

[Folklore and Ethnomusicology | Indiana University Bloomington](<a href=“Indiana University Bloomington”>Indiana University Bloomington)

oops I meant FOLF-F 101

lol I meant FOLK-F 101 Introduction to Folklore.
ace550, I used those websites and it seems that Kattner is better, but I want more opinions from people who have taken his class. How is the class structured and does he print out notes like Orrick does?

I haven’t taken it but perhaps this will help. [Personal Home Page for Greg Kattner](http://mypage.iu.edu/~gkattner/M118/)

I wouldn’t take F101 because Foster isn’t taking it. Professor Orejuela is teaching it and his/her grade distribution isn’t pretty for class sizes larger than 50. They’re relatively low (like 2.5) I think. I’m hoping Foster teaches it next fall, though.

It doesn’t list Orejuela’s grade distribution with FOLK-F 101. Is this the first time he is teaching the class?

Also does it really matter who teaches FOLK-F 101? If people are getting that high of a grade with this class, isn’t it because the material is easy and not necessarily because of the teacher?

In large sections, Orejuela gives out tough grades. He isn’t going to have the same material as Foster, therefore you’re taking a risk because he doesn’t give out good grades to large sections.

[Grade Distribution Database: Office of the Registrar: Indiana University Bloomington](http://gradedistribution.registrar.indiana.edu/gradedist.php?dept=FOLK&subject=&crse=&clsnbr=&instrname=orejuela&report_selection=gradedist&search_process=go)

It’s just a risk I’m not going to take.
