Is this a good sign for UCSD admission ?

^easier said then done…this is like the next 2-3 years of my life were talking about!

^
Hey, I’m doing it too! Waiting until April 30th?! :confused: I’m with you but…seeing all of these people being impatient makes ME impatient.

…Spring Break…thank Kami.

hey…i haven’t heard from Cal, UCLA or UCSD and I am still waiting with a 3.95 BIO major, TAG (UCSD)!!!

^
Cal=April 30th (don’t complain, LOL)
UCLA=April 22nd-24th ishhh? (Around there, so don’t complain about that either.)

…pretty much what this whole board is probably waiting on, hahaha.

UCSD decisions are still coming out. [:

So, DO people get accepted who didnt have the new Housing message?

Sakurax, I still haven’t heard from anyone yet. It’s freaking me out sooo much!

^
The waiting game sucks, I agree with you. I’m going slowly insane. Luckily there’s Spring Break. :smiley:

Stop stressing out! [:

I can’t believe the SIR costs 100 bucks, that’s so lame.

^
Well it goes towards paying something. No biggie. LOL.

XD What exactly I wonder?

^
For Cal, I’m sure it’s the same with the other UCs.

“The Statement of Intention to Register (SIR) fee is a $100 nonrefundable deposit necessary to reserve your space at UC Berkeley. This fee will be credited to your first semester tuition.”

Oh so it really is just a deposit, cool that makes sense.

I got accepted to UCSD with the IGETC (Economics, Revelle). I have a pretty good Aid Reward so I’m considering the new Transfer Housing. Grats to all Fall 09 transfers! Anyone else considering the new transfer student housing?

Me. I think it’ll just be super convenient, and it’ll be cleaner than living with messy roommates in an apartment. (had a pretty bad experience with that.) I got awesome aid as well, otherwise it’d probably be too expensive.

kitsunes: I’m considering the transfer housing, but it seems pretty pricey, and I’m not even sure if the apartments will be done by the end of this year!

Since you got into Revelle with IGETC, what other prereqs do you need to do? I still need to take a language to meet Revelle requirements for graduation. That and maybe one or two other Revelle-specific classes.

@kiwi

If I had known I was getting into Revelle I would have taken courses that satisfied their ‘IGETC Plus’. I have quite a few science classes to take --including their area of focus and lang. requirements (probably all 4 years since i forgot my 2 year of lang. in hs already.) I planned everything out and it looks like I’ll be there for 2-2.5 years. (assuming I take 4 courses per quarter excluding summers --finishing Revelle requirements +UCSD graduating requirements +major requirements). We’ll see. Sounds a little overwhelming but I don’t mind the challenge (even after reading numerous negative comments about the college) I also don’t see this as my only option. I’m sure if it gets intense I could work something out.

@kkiiji

I also think it’ll be more convenient than off-campus apts. Yeah, thanks to the aid I’ll be able to afford it. The location is rather far from my college and still a little excluded from all the other dorms. This is my first UC experience so I’m definitely spending my first year in a dorm, even if its with transfer students only. I don’t know when I’ll get another experience like this again.

I probably need to purchase a bike. I’m planning to bring my car but I don’t know where I can park it 24/7.

hope the housing leak is still a sign…cause mine just changed!

Housing Application for Fall 2009-2010

Housing will be accepting applications for newly admitted transfer students beginning May 2, 2009. Please come back to this site at this time.

f U CK !!
I still have the old message!

Accepted into UCI, UCD, UCSB so far…my housing application page changed for UCSD today…

“Housing will be accepting applications for newly admitted transfer students beginning May 2, 2009. Please come back to this site at this time.”
