I applied to Towson University (in Maryland) back in January. In February, I got a letter basically saying that had an overflow of applicants and would give mine another look at a later time. (Guess that I was on the edge of being accepted or rejected.)

My school consolers suggested I send a letter saying how I want to go there, why it's first choice, etc. And updated transcripts.

I recently checked online, and on Monday, there is a spot that says "Your application is in review if you status says "Received." And it does. But what was odd that it didn't say "received" for first quarter grades they wanted (even though they never told me they needed them.)

So, I gave them a call. The student working there looked up my application, and guessed that they probably didn't need the updated grades, and that they had ALREADY put their response in the mail. (They refuse to tell you over the phone or email if you're accepted or not.)

Before, when it said "received" for review for the first time around, it took a few weeks to get a review and have the letter sent. Now it seemed they pretty much already made a decision and sent it out.

So, I'm wondering, is it a good sign I'll be accepted? They could've already said they would accept me once they got mine in the stack again. But I'm also wondering if they have an overflow applications, if they would maybe decide to automatically reject applications with low SAT scores or something.

Any ideas will be great. I was expecting the response in the mail today since it was sent out Monday, but I guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow.
