Is this a good strategy for life/college?

<p>OP, leadership experience means more than joining fbla and going to meetings. See if you can pick up some experiences in and out of hs that allow you to take some responsibilities and run with them. Eg, if there is a community project or vol opportunity where you can work into leading a team or taking part in decisions. Slowly, this accumulates. The idea is to practice some of the skills needed to be successful in biz. At first, these include committing over time (and meeting those commitments,) taking on a legit role, learning what it means to have some impact. In time, the responsibilites grow. In simple terms, exact opposite of slacker. Sometimes you can do the same through a starter job that leads to more. (But doing it vol offers both the experience and the comm svc hours- and many small service orgs need whatever extra hands they can get.)</p>
