is this a good topic for my essay

i don't know if this would be a good personal statement or essay but i decided to right about how i got into a car accident two weeks ago and how it effected my life. is this a good topic or will colleges think i am irresponsible and a bad driver and a stupid person.

it's a decent subject, but a cliche one. id advise you to write on a more unique one, but if that's the best you got, then go for it. i know this for sure: they're not going to think you're irresponsible as long as you write well enough to prevent them from thinking that way.

P.S. you used "effected" incorrectly. search up difference between affect and effect ^^

first of all it should be "write" and "affected".
I think that although you might be able to write excellently about this topic, hundreds of kids out there will write essays about a traumatic experience and how it affected them. You can make it work as long as you don't emphasize how bad of a driver you are, but it might be worthwhile in the long run to find a unique topic that really speaks about you. So my answer is Yes you can write it but be careful.

idk what to write about. What about an experience when i had to watch my little twin brothers, there only 6 so it would show responsibility. I am a senior so i need this done soon. I have been putting this off for so long and its really getting me mad.

Don't worry you still have plenty of time.
From what i've heard any experience can be turned into a great essay. It does not have to be something traumatic or incredible. Something like watching your twin brothers could be an amazing topic depending on how you write. You should outline your experience babysitting your brothers and how it shows your character and how you apply yourself in life.
