Is this a good way to start?

<p>Hi! I'm about to start my essay, but I have a quick question to ask first!</p>

<p>I am writing my essay about how I became interested in Computer Science. It began with a class I took in high school.</p>

<p>Is it okay to write it in the first person, almost like telling a story? (ex: I entered the classroom... talk about the feelings running through my mind at first etc.)</p>

<p>Certainly okay to do so. I’d say that is a very common way to start an essay. Make sure it grabs attention; if you’re talking about your first day in class, you better add some really clever commentary to make it interesting.</p>
