I am applying to an ivy league and I just received a supplementary letter of rec. Can someone read it and tell me if it’s good?
BTW, I did not waive my right to read the letter.

Well, firstly, you should have waived it. That is a major red flag. Secondly, if you can read it, why cant you decide for yourself?
@ANormalSeniorGuy Ah I didn’t know that. A lot of the students at my schools were waiving so I didn’t recognize it as a red flag.
Also, I’ve read it myself but I’d like to hear it from an outside point of view, from someone who doesn’t know me as well as I know me haha.
@AverageTeen2000 Ok. Well, I can read it, just pm it to me. Just know I am not liable for any potential problems with this in terms of an application, as I do not know the protocol if one waives.
@ANormalSeniorGuy Okay, thanks! I won’t be waiving at this point, though. I’ve already read the letter and it wouldn’t be fair to do so.
Do you have your teacher’s permission to show the letter to others? Just because you retained the right to read it doesn’t mean you were granted the right to share it.
MODERATOR’S NOTE:
Closing thread. If the teacher were to ask for feedback, that would be one thing. But we have no way of knowing that s/he has given permission for the rec to be shown to anyone else.
