<p>I am an international student from Sweden applyin to college in the U.S. Both of my parents have university doplomas, though none of them have studied in the U.S. Does this make me a first-generation applicant? </p>

<p>My dad has an associates and my mom has a masters. I couldn’t apply to a college in the UK saying that I’m the first one in my family to go to college just because they didn’t attend a school in the UK.</p>
