i have a cousin who is a professor at the college i want to attend, and she wrote a letter of recommendation for me.
My GPA is good enough, and my SAT's are in range ( although they r on the low side).
SAT II's are a little low though.
Will this be a hook for me and help me get in?

Not a hook.

No but she can probably get you in.

bump bump… WILL THIS HELP ME GET IN?

Depends on her ‘standing’. A tenured prof they want to keep, it could help a lot. An adjunct lucky to have the job, not so much. Remember, only a small fraction of staff kids get into highly selective colleges. Much better chance if it’s an average school.

ok, thanks for the response.
she is a full-time employee and a program director of something, so i hope it helps

I’ve heard of someone who’s uncle was a director of something at Columbia.
Didn’t get in :(
