It's from the office of Outreach (African American Office, I believe)
....... Thank u for completing your application to the University of Virginia. We are so excited that we are one of your schools of choice. THe University has become a national leader in retaining and graduating African American American students who are satisfied with their university experience and academic excellence. This time is one of anticilation and anxiousness as you wait to hear where your second home will be for the next four years, and I want to take this opportunity to assist you in the weeks ahead as you make your final decision............It then goes into two paragraphs about FinAid............Then the letter introduces me to an African American female from my area who is a 1st year govt. major (my intended major) and gives me her email so that i can contact her with any questions. ..

but what really gets me excited is........."Mark your calender for a special online chat room which will be opened for minority students April 5 7-9pm. Stay tuned for an email with more infomation about the chat."

y would they tell me about a online chat that is taking place after admissions decisions are out????

I got the exact same letter right after I got a prior likely letter. Congrats.
I believe its more than the original likely letter I got. In this one it specifically mentions "do not wait till you get you letter of acceptance before you apply for fin-aid." However, I am not African-American, I am African. International Student here in the US, as a result I cannot apply for Financial aid. it stinks i tell you. But oh well. Congrats again.

wow, UVA used "u" instead of you in a letter? And I thought they we supposed to be a good school! haha just joking. Congrats, thats really great!! :)

i thought likely letters are signed by the head Dean of Admissions?
but it seems like you are in from what it said in the letter or they wouldnt have invited you to a chat after decisions were released
