Is this a low ACT score for the first time?

I am a Sophomore (10th grade) and i decided to take the ACT for the first time last weekend without any studying.
I got a 23.
Is this a very low score? I didn't finish the sections because of timing

you got above average, but on this forum it would be considered a low score

Yeah ^^^^^ On this forum, mostly nervous overachievers post. Considering you don’t have to send all ur ACT’s in, ull probably do alot better next time around.

I got a 21 on my 1st try as a junior. Three attempts later, I scored a 29. With hard work and dedication, you should be able to get into the 30s.

good if u want to go to a school that u want 2, but a 26+ would make u better off for more selective schools, most students take their first act as a junior bcus they are in harder classes that help them prep up like honors math or english, if ur not that kind of student, then thats fine.

definitely buy the Real ACT Prep Book and do a practice test, familiarize urself with the material and u’ll do a whole lot heck better then a 23. i predict u could get a 26+ the next time if u use the Real ACT Prep Book

ACT English sophomore year (practice test)= 21

ACT English on last ACT= 33.

Just take hard courses in high school and study a bit (NOT TOO MUCH, IT DOESN’T WORK!!!). And work hard at school.

Well, I guess it depends on the person.
