Ok, then your schedule makes more sense.
See, when adcoms review your courses, they look at the progression
Math: Algebra1 CP-> Algebra2H + Geometry → Math Analysis → AP Calculus
is a sequence that 1° makes sense 2° shows academic growth and increase in rigor.
If you’re weak in US history, your choice of USH1 and USH2 makes sense.
If you’re interested in Neuroscience, AP Chem, AP Physics1, and AP Bio are all must-have’s.
For CS, see if you could dual-enroll at a nearby college and take Discrete Math and perhaps a more precise programming course (I think AP CS A uses Java, see if you can find something with Python?)
CS is highly in demand and thus highly selective. Having previous experience with coding, programming, building apps… will help tremendously. Are you part of clubs at school? Robotics competitions?..
I have been coding python 5+ years. Couldn’t find a python AP comp sci course tho…
I am part of Neuroscience Club, Medical Minds and Computer Programming Club. They’re pretty good. Our school has a low demand for most AP courses. Many kids don’t take AP’s. But, yes, the AP programs are selective. Yeah, AP CS A uses only Java. The above courses are already scheduled, I am asking to see if it is the best I can take next year. Thanks for your prompt responses btw!
No, there’s no Python AP course, but there could be CS courses with Python nearby through Dual Enrollment?
Your schedule looks good overall.
Alright, thanks!
